Has a young man ever been as excited about playing a rock and roll festival as this young man is about playing the South By Southwest festival in my adopted hometown of Austin, TX? I think the answer to that question is a definitive probably not.

That's right, kiddies. On Tuesday this rock and roll outfit is getting on a plane and heading not south of the border, but almost as far south as you can go without actually going south of the border. And I think I speak for us all when I say that I plan to make this trip not about the music at all. I'm going to drink as much liquor as I can get on the plane, eat myself sick on peanuts and then get myself arrested a la Peter Buck. We'll see if they call us an anemic Semisonic after that! (Ed. note - they most certainly will)

Ah well, all that stuff probably won't happen. I do however think we will have an ass kicking rock and roll time and you can be sure that you, the loyal rock readers, will hear all about it in in all its glory in this very same space.
