Well, I won't waste anyone's time (not that anyone really reads this, but maybe if we're famous one day people will want to read the archives, making the the generic "anyone" more apt than the "eric, jordan, gordon and my mom" that I should probably be using) trying to say anything meaningful about the incredible and tragic events of the last few weeks. Instead I will remind "everyone" (see above for why this is OK) that although it becomes somber for a while, the rock still moves on, kicking asses all over the globe or, more precisely, in the tri-state area where we primarily play.
In other news, mad props to Pete "The Helmet" "Nikki 12-Gauge" "PG-13" for filling in with us these next few weeks, insuring that our hearts of rock will beat with the fury of a thousand locomotives. Thanks Pete.
Four shows this weekend. People, I hope you were there for at least one of them, but if you weren't you can rest assured that some ass-kicking rock was played with some ass-kicking intensity. With the exception of the daytime gig at BU that had us competing with a fraternity/sorority tug of war, the shows really were pretty darn good. It's an exciting time for the band and everyone's feeling it. OK, I should get back to my dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb job. Christ.
Everyone should check out the web site of my friend Dave at work. It has advice on capturing and re-locating skunks (even though in MA its illegal, so don't get any ideas), a gallery of original wood carvings and other weird stuff. But the weirdest thing by far is that there's a link for good ol' FXA and a pretty trippy photo collage of the band. Our first fan site, weird. Rock on Dave, even if you never gave me that bottle of Oxycontin to ease the pain of the long long road.
It's funny that Gordon would call us all lame as his favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. Weird. Anywho, big weekend coming up, everyone should come out. Its a little nerve-wracking to have four gigs scheduled in the next four days with a drummer I have never played with, but it will be good. Much ass-kicking will inevitably take place. The new tourbus is, in fact, "Fly" and I am very excited to take this ass-kicking show on the road. Alright, I should go back to my decidedly un-ass-kicking job, although I may kick my own self in the ass later just to stay in the groove. Take care....
